In ›Ballet mécanique‹ choreographiert Fernand Leger Alltagsgegenstände zu einem ›Tanz der Objekte‹. An der Fertigstellung des ›Films ohne Handlung‹ ist auch der Surrealist Man Ray beteiligt. Die gleichnamige Musik wurde von George Antheil entwickelt. Neben Hupen und Sirenen wurden auch 16 mechanische Klaviere und drei Flugzeugpropeller in die Komposition integriert.
In ›Ballet mécanique‹, Fernand Leger choreographed every day appliances in a ›dance of objects‹. The surrealist Man Ray was also involved in completing this ›film without a plot‹. George Antheil developed the score of the same name. Apart from car horns and klaxons, 16 mechanical pianos and three plane propellers were integrated into the composition as well.
