This year the open air short film cinema will be moving to the Festival Centre Meisterwerkstatt. Behind Halle 5 there will be a silver screen, places to sit, BBQ and drinks. In short: Everything you need!
On Friday we will be hosting the sequel Film, Sausages and Beer 2. This selection of excellent films from the archives of the KurzFilmAgentur will of course include a training film on the subject of safety at the workplace. After all, there is no better place to learn the lessons Klaus and his forklift can teach us than a factory site.
On Saturday, we will take a cinematic stroll through the urban fringe. The selection of eclectic shorts takes on the subjects of Suburbia and ›coming of age‹ and it is assembled around Arcade Fire’s and Spike Jonze’s short ›Scenes from the Suburbs‹. Everywhere adolescents are looking for a way out of the narrowness and absurdity of suburban life: At a prom in Croatia, a Moldovan rehearsal room or an English estate of terraced houses.
And after Sunday’s award ceremony inside the mansion, we will be screening the newly announced Award Winners outside.
If all things fail and Hamburg’s weather doesn’t match the generally sunny disposition of its inhabitants, we will simply enjoy the open air under a roof and move into a factory hall.
Open Air Cinema behind Halle 5 / Festival Centre opens its door at 22.00.
Admission is 6 Euros.
